Jeff, just please check the price at the MB dealer. From what I see they are good 40% less expensive at Mercedes than in the SLS.

The PN you provided, in the Mercedes system change to A 113 693 03 35 and A 113 693 04 35 (for W113044). They are ca EUR 150. Worth checking I think.

Pawel,

Side question.
I allways checked the availability and priced via this site.
https://partssearch.mercedes-benz-classic.com/parts/result
Lately they do not show the price anymore. Do you know a site where you can check the MB prices?

Thanks, Peter

Peter, I am in Daimler system, Webparts. I do not know another place that would give all info on changes and price.

Maybe others will chime in.

What is odd is that in 'Pawel's MB system - webparts' the official MB price is 40% lower than in 'SEAD's MB system - originalteile MB' (which is closer to the SLS price).
It just adds to the sense that MB wants the market for their oldtimer parts to be as untransparent and 'difficult' as possible for us customers.
Which I have felt since almost day 1 of my Pagoda ownership in 1999, when I went to a Mercedes dealership for the first time to get parts for my new acquisition and the parts counter man suggested I go someplace else. Literally that is what he said to me, the reason being that third party parts suppliers (like SLS) would be in a better position than MB to assist me. Until this day I have to say I agree with him. The only issue being that, these days, many parts that used to be sold by MB to those third party suppliers, are now only available to us through MB itself. Which is not that interested in serving us.

I said the same basic thing years ago and I was told that I was full of it. It's why they developed the classic centers which are still just MB dealerships selling parts for and repairing older cars.

It is not always the case, but I failed to spot regularities.

These prices are he prices you pay at dealerships. I have some discount, but not for all product groups. I received the access rights from that dealer (but I need to pay. The annual fee) and I am automatically connected to that dealer with orders.

Isn't Jeff looking for the vinyl covered shields covering the B-pillar? Not the chrome covers?
Those vinyl-covered parts are NLA to my knowledge...

Jeff,
Can't you just recover yours with new vinyl  / MB-Tex?
Or what is wrong with yours?

If that is the case, silly of me to go to the chrome ones, sorry. Like Pavlov's dog: B-pillar covers=chrome covers.

The service you get is entirely dependent upon the individual dealer. Frankly I'm amazed that Daimler Benz still continue to provide parts for these cars; whether you can get them and how much you pay is largely down to the dealer you speak to.
I'm lucky in that I'm Mercedes Benz trained and with 40 years experience I know what to say to whom.
I have on-line direct access to three" Mercedes parts, but it's not so. Any part that Daimler Benz will supply (providing it's a car part and not PSV or HGV etc) can be supplied by any dealer.
