Are linkage parts available?
« on: May 23, 2005, 06:54:12 »
I need a new throttle linkage rod. (The one that runs from the throttle body to the main rod that runs across the top of the engine). Does anyone know if these are still available?  If so, does anyone know the part number?

I do not have the parts catalog with me, but check the SLS website http://sls.sparebase.de, go to the English version, then link to the 230-280SL section, then navigate to section 30, which should be the accelerator linkage page. The have an exploded view of all the linkage pieces, so you should be able to see if the one you are looking for is available from them. These also may be available from other series vehicles?? Or is it the kind of think that can be made to size, once you have the end ball sockets??

I checked the parts book tonight. It shows a rod that connects the from the arm at the end of the bar that runs across the valve cover (they call the control shaft) to the front of the car. It has a curved end with a rubber (?) grommet/fitting at one end (connecting to the control shaft) with a ball socket at the other. The part number listed is 113 300 00 15, listed as a push rod.

The above  part 113 300 00 15 is the control rod for the firewall pedal linkage [ accelerator control shaft] , not the one from the Injection control shaft that goes over the valve cover to throttle plate/body...
I will see if I can find that part # .
