I was recently asked a question and decided to write a little guide on how to keep track of subjects and topics of interest, so that you can keep up to date with the site easily. The question was:
Hey there, I’m a new reader of your site and was wondering if there was a way to sign up for notifications when a new post is published?The answer is, yes, of course.
The easiest way, is No notifications, but just to read
all new posts since your last visit. Most regular users of the site use this to catch up regularly.
The second way is to follow notifications of new posts being made to a
board you are interested in. Select the board, press the notify button, and the pop-up will ask you if you want to be notified if a new topic is created.
The third way is to get a notification if a new reply is posted to a
topic you are interested in, and want to follow. When in the topic, press the notify button.
When you are posting a new message, you can also click on the '+' sign at the bottom near
'Attachments and Other options' and click on
'Notify of Replies'.
Note: you can manage and remove notifications using
Profile / Modify Profile / Notifications.
