Is a razor to remove stickers on glass always OK?

A basic question...wondering if glass is labeled as 'laminated' (or not...could be any glass I suppose...as long as no tint), is it OK to take a flat razor to peel off stickers from the inside of the windshield, or are there cases when you can damage the glass?

All windscreens in recent memory are laminated. That's two sheets of glass with a sheet of vinyl sandwiched between them. Keeps the glass together if damaged. Other window glass on the cars is generally tempered, meaning it will shatter into ¼" or 5mm crumbs instead of dangerous shards.

I've damaged glass with sharp objects before but using a razor as you propose is fine; just don't use anything pointy or anything like a scrub pad. Use plenty of liquid as a lubricant. Be slow and steady.

I tend to rely on plastic razor blades when scraping on glass.

I use an electric hair dryer to soften the glue on stickers, then wipe residue away with kerosene.

I lay a paper towel on the dash below the sticker, spray aerosol glass cleaner that contains some ammonia directly onto the backside of the sticker, let it foam up for 30-45 seconds and scrape the sticker and any adhesive residue right off with a razor blade secured in a plastic holder.  The paper towel catches the shreds of sodden sticker.  The paper towel also invariably absorbed some of the overspray of window cleaner and comes in handy for wiping away any remaining residue, leaving the surface of the glass where the sticker formerly resided spotless.

I think the glass on classic cars is easily scratched. I like the plastic razor idea as suggested
