When dad bought the car it was driven from his home to a golf club daily for the first 10 years of its life. After that he took it out weekly to keep it running and the battery charged. He changed the oil himself, as well as some other light maintenance chores. After he turned 95, my brother and I convinced him it was time to give up his driving and the car sat for several years before I took it over. It’s always been garaged and I think that’s what has saved the paint though it does need some correction. He turned 102 last month and I drove it up to show him and literally the entire senior living facility came out to see it. He was quite proud to tell everyone about it.
