Mixture Control Magnet
« on: October 08, 2022, 21:10:32 »
My mixture control magnet or solenoid has two connection points. (both M4, see pic)
Going to the solenoid is a black / pink and a brown (ground) wire. How can I tell which wire goes to the which connection?
Does it matter?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Dirk, It's just a solenoid coil, so polarity doesn't matter.  Some relays/solenoids have suppressing diodes, and are polarity conscious, in which case the terminals are marked accordingly

Thank you Bob.
That's the answer I was hoping for. I was looking for markings and didn't see any. (Due to the location its hard to see)
