Brilliant! Does anyone on the forum own this car?

If so, what is the backstory for the magazine article? How did it come about to be on the front cover?

It's for sale at Chelsea Cars - at least it was when the article was written and a few days before Christmas

Thanks for the tip James, it looks like it is still there for sale with price only available on enquiry:

https://www.chelseacars.com/listings/1965-mercedes-benz-230-sl-for-sale/

In fact they have a plethora of nice Pagodas up for sale

https://www.chelseacars.com/listings/1966-mercedes-230sl-for-sale-6/

Good photos and likely a nice buy for someone after a RHB well maintained and serviced 230SL.

What a treasure trove of cars including a nice one requiring reassembling for £150

Chelsea Cars have some lovely (looking?) cars but rarely bargains.
Oddly enough, the Pagoda Clarkson drove on top gear was for sale through them at the time of the filming.

Their cars look nice, but on closer inspection they are all somewhat flawed. I looked at a lot of their Pagodas when I was in the market, but none of them were correct in all respects, and they were all somewhat pricey
