Blue Nut for dash wood trim

I try to unscrew those nut but  10 mm is too small and 11 too large !
Wht's wrong ?  :o

Afaik original nuts are 9mm.

And yes, the blue nuts should be 9mm. .355" = 9mm. A few years ago we did a project here where we created new 3D printed nuts. See print attached. These were very close copies to the originals.

It always amazes me that in non-metric measurements countries, dimensions of parts and items on metric vehicles are attempted to be called out in standard values. I have a couple of Japanese bikes and the forums are full of guys who want to quote dimensions in inches.  :o

When I design things, I can relate to inch measurements because that is what I grew up with and .001" means more to me in my head than .0254mm. Given that, I usually try to convert when metric is used such as with Euro cars. Pretty easy to convert and I hope most know how to do that.

Key thing, I guess, is what you grew up with, as you say. However, I find it easier to tell that a 14mm wrench/nut is larger than a 12mm wrench/nut as opposed to tell if a 5/8" is larger or smaller than a 9/16". Besides, the precise measurements on our cars are metric and a conversion to "standard" is always an approximation and a perfect fit would be a coincidence.
