Headlights
« on: February 02, 2023, 13:09:28 »
I just read through some interesting history of the W113 and changes throughout the years. It said that the European Bosch "Leuchteinheit" which was a Halogen headlight with integrated fog lights came with the "flat" lens. I knew there was a bubble and a flat lens, but I did not know that the flat lens was unique to the "Leuchteinheit". Probably old news for most of you

Sorry but I don't understand what you are saying Mike - are you saying that the rounded lens was not unique to the headlamp ('Leuchteinheit') but the flat one was?

I do not have a link. It was something a friend sent to me. It said:

04/1970: Bosch Lichteinheit headlights optionally with halogen main beam (distinguished by "flat" instead of "bubble" lens)

Yeah, I think the bubble euro lens has "traditional" bulbs and the flat euro lens has halogen bulb.
