Late Model Becker Radio in W111
« on: February 07, 2023, 13:25:04 »
When I bought my 1969 280SE W111, the wood dash was cut to accept the larger, late model Becker radio.
The dash was modified from 1-3/4" to 2-1/8", and the late model radio installed.
I have just had the wood dash refinished, and the Becker trim pushes the lower dash trim down around the radio trim.
I could just force it all together, and live with the bowed lower chrome trim; BUT,
Is there another option?

I would ask the person who did the refinishing just how you could file the opening bigger without taking the wood out and seal the edge again.  It wouldn't be visible I believe.
