Boot/trunk panels..
« on: May 01, 2023, 15:12:11 »
Hi
I’m looking for a pair of those small square panels the cover the wires and number plate screws in the boot/trunk..as what’s not  in the picture ..
Not sure what to call them…
Thank you

So.. I now have those plates to cover the open panel in the trunk/boot.. but… what are the pieces protruding on the back of them?
Are they surplus to requirements on a W113?
The plate itself fits fine…

Interesting. I had never seen anything like those before. They extra portion on the back has no application for the 113.

As I thought… multi using parts I’m guessing.. they actually fit if I bend the protrusions up all the way… serendipity…
Any idea what size screw fits there ? M4/6?

Metal sheet screws go there, if I remember correctly.

These brackets - could that be to hold wheel lug wrench and wheel alignment tool in early cars?

By trying to fit them..it seems the protrusions go on the inside?? In the body of the car…I may be wrong..

I think you see outside of the plate with bracket. I may be wrong of course.

Maybe check pout here: https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=33042.msg241034#msg241034

It looks like these covers were for the W114, slightly different than the ones on the W113
