I noticed I missed Rodd's question about my son's and my POrsche 944.
We had to do a couple of things to it when we first bought it: new tires, shocks and struts and, most significantly, a new clutch, that was a bit of a job since the whole transaxle has to move rearwards to make room for the bell housing and clutch to come out, and even then it's super tight. But we managed. We then had the timing belt and balancing shaft belt, engine mounts and accessory belt replaced by a specialized garage and it's been my son's daily driver ever since. The only other thing we had to do, late last year, was replace the radiator but other than that the car has been flawless. It's a lot of fun driving through the canyons near our new home in San Diego County. Not sure how much longer my son will keep driving it as he just landed his first job with a startup that designs and builds 'mini-nuclear-powerplants' closer to Los Angeles. And we're still working on restoring our 1968 Ford Mustang, so there's that as well ...
