Labelling of the TTS in Our Manual

Quick question.  In the Engine Starting Aid Tour photo of the TTS, Terminal G is identified as the one on the "sloped" side of the insulator and Terminal "W" is indicated as the one on the straight side of the insulator.  This is opposite to how the TTS in my 1966 230SL is labeled.  My TTS labelling appears to be correct because the "W" terminal shows zero resistance to ground whereas the "G" terminal shows a small resistance to ground.

Just want to be sure that we are clear and correct on the labelling in the illustration.

Hello, i think it may be either an optical illusion, or a mirror image.  Terminal W looks to be on the taller post

If you look at these pictures, the top left picture shows the taller post on the sloping side of the insulator, whereas the picture below shows the opposite

I think he's indicating the labeling of the picture is incorrect?

I don't believe the labeling is incorrect, the larger terminal and eyelet on the taller post is connected to W. The two pictures show the larger post on different sides to the sloping side of the insulator, so perhaps the insulator could have been assembled in two different ways, or the pictures are deceiving?

I haven't seen one in person, are the two terminals not marked G & W?

On mine the letters were stamped on the metal parts of terminals (those big metal bars with holes for screws).
