Glove box light glass lens

Hello amigos: trying to re chrome the glove box light but need to remove the glass lens. There is no sign of glue or fasteners that hold it in place.
Help!!

Good one. All I can think is to heat up the metal ring, that will make it expand slightly, and maybe the glass will be able to be pushed out. Installation the reverse of removal. But this is just a guess on my part.

Great idea, had not thought of it, I assume it is glass and not plastic. If it was plastic would be cloudy and deteriorated.
