Estimate of value of wiper stalk.

Hi All,

I wonder if any of you knowledgable people can give me a ballpark value on a wiper/indicator stalk.
It's in good condition nad research shows me some wild prices.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Looks like the later variant which I think are slightly more relatively ‘easier’ to obtain?

As to value, I think that you can do what you currently have done, is to look at others and look at comparative condition. I also understand that the later version of these stalks are reproduced. As such, if yours is an original part, this is likely to enable a higher price to be asked

Another issue is its functionality. Mine appeared to work perfectly until I installed it and discovered that the on off function for the windshield wipers did not work. If you can guarantee that all functions work properly, it would add to its value.

If it does need a refurb, then maybe see what Sead sells refurb ones for, then take the cost of what he charges to refurb them, and what you have left is its value.

Have had these for repair here already ... low quality of mechanism unfortunately.. same weak points as original VDOs have. Wire cross sections of two horn wires is not like on original! I stopped repairing these.. Inner and outer plastic housings incl chrome stalk are quite good although...
