Would like your thoughts and personal experiences on applying dry ice to clean the undercarriage and other parts? With or against?

We just had a seminar at PagodaFest in Chicago on this very topic, by sponsor Euroquipe of St. Charles, IL. It was deemed to be a great solution to cleaning but must be carefully controlled. Too much pressure and it can remove paint, too little and it won't do much. That's where the expertise comes in. But, since it leaves no residue behind it is a very useful process.

We just did the underside of a 190SL. The results were spectacular.

No personal experience with it, but it seems to be what people are doing.  Seems like a great technology.  A vendor did a presentation on it at Pagoda Fest Chicago and it reflected what I've read about it online.  So, the sales pitch is consistent from vendor to vendor, and they probably use various equipment/products.

In fact a shop near me will be getting a dry ice machine, have been researching.

I didn't know dry ice was being used in detailing/cleaning - removing old coatings and things like carpet glue but not years of gunk.   
And now I want my car to look like that

Motorweek recently did a segment on dry ice cleaning and there is a video on line if you google it.

I personally have never done it, but after watching the video and listening to how its done and seeing the results,  I would not hesitate to have it done by a qualified professional.

I understand its not cheap, around $2,000-$3,000.....
