$100.00 ! !

I had one of those on my car when I got it. I couldn't wait to get rid of it and replace it with an ivory one to match the steering wheel !!

If it's worth even a fraction of that then I'm gonna find it and eBay it !

Regards,
Ben in Ireland.

Do you suppose chrome would fetch as much as wood?

Anyone else out there have the chrome knob? and all smooth shift plate? I have never seen this elsewhere.

Never saw a chrome one, but I kinda like it .. goes with the brightwork on the dash..and the center matches well w/steering wheel center logo..

Thanks AD, I like it too. You are right, it adds to the overall chrome look of my 230SL interior.

Hi Ben. I wish I could say one way or the other. Unfortunately, the early history of my car is shrouded in mystery...

Overall, the car has turned out to be mostly original, so the plate might be.
