Fuel pump not on = dead!
« on: November 22, 2023, 13:11:27 »
Hi. Have a 250sl. Drive’s beautiful! However, have been left in the rain with a cover on, and since then, when I try and start it, I don’t hear the fuel pump coming on. So the vehicle is turning but not wanting to start.

Checked the fuse. All good. Help will be much appreciated!

You should check the Voltage at the pump. Make sure you get 12V at the pump terminals.

It may be a loose wire or one of them has become disconnected from the pump.  Also possible pump has seized or is plugged and stopped running (although there is a filter in the pump hopefully).

Spin, or remove/replace, the fuse for the fuel pump.  It just may need a fresh contact surface.
