High Level Pagoda Discussion
« on: January 11, 2024, 17:29:52 »
A High Level Pagoda discussion was held in Süd-Tirol in Rifugio Frederola after a bit of skiing. No Pagoda's were harmed in this get-together.

Greetings from Johannes, Peter and Peter.

Greetings gents. Thanks for posting, Peter.

Looks like great fun. Knowing the three of you, I imagine that the Pagoda discussion continued when you were back on the ground with an adult beverage or two on hand!

Peter, there are ski racks for you Pagoda, did you drive it to Ski? Hey I have come MB literature with pictures of a Pagoda. With skis in the snow. Back in those days when these cars were new. They were drive. Everywhere in Europe rain or snow. Nowdays I don’t think any owner would do such a thing. And that brings be to the question why do members ask about ski racks, they are not going to use them, but maybe they are showing the car with old skis on it.

One fond memory I have of driving my Pagoda, was around 2009, from Amsterdam to Guyonvelle, France in the dead of winter. The last 20 or so miles were late at night, through the thick forest on a winding road where I encountered a group of deer in the road, that was covered in heaps of snow. So, yes, I drive my SL in the snow!

  • I've driven my Pagoda in snow, in fact I have snow-chains and winter tyres for mine. But no, I did not go to Italy in my Pagoda this time
  • Adult beverages of many kinds were consumed
  • We didn't even notice the pirate ship until we saw the photographs... so no we did not talk like Pirates...
  • The place where we were at is called Rifugio Frederola and it serves a great steak!
