Plastic Sleeves In Shifter Gate
« on: January 15, 2024, 04:16:31 »
I am reinstalling the chrome shifter gate and plastic insert on my 280 SL.

These plastic sleeves were a part of this and I usually take photos for reference but missed this one.

Where do these things go?

Thanks, much appreciated.

Well I realize I put you all on a wild goose chase when I posted the photo of two flat plastic parts asking how they were used in the auto transmission interior housing.  My bad.

When reinstalling a new accelerator pedal this morning I rememberd that this is where they are used.   The horizontal part of the accelerator rod fits between them, allowing for a smooth surface to slide within.
