I saw this on a FB page. Someone put a modified 1974 Karman Ghia Coupé body on a Mercedes SLK320 chassis!

That's a really good use of a Karmann Ghia body. I'd do maybe white painted vented wheels with a chromed or polished dog dish, like this 190sl Rennsport:
