Changing lightbulb in Becker radio face?
« on: October 09, 2024, 21:38:53 »
Hi all,

I recently had my Becker Grand Prix TR serviced by Becker Autosound as when I bought the car several bits didn’t work like the wonderbar.

I didn’t re-install as working on the wood but when I tested it wired in but not in dash (being a 230 it’s wedged on either side of the dash board metal not just inserted) all was perfect after service.

After I put it back ion, not 10 mins passed before I pressed the far right U or FM button and both the backlight and green center light disappeared while everything else kept working.

I opened it back up to find the new LED bulb they added rattling around.

I can’t see where to plug it back in?

Have contacted Becker Autodound but yet to hear back.. Anyone know where the hell you plug this? (See pic) I can’t see a bayonet for it..
Also does this one bulb do the white backlight and green center light? Both went out the same moment..

Thanks for any guidance you have!

Rich
Thanks,
Rich

Thanks Bob. I can't say the instruction made much sense to me without a visual and since in my case there wasn't a bulb being replaced to guide me on where to place it :)
I've added the photo sent to me by Becker Autosound showing the placement to the Tech Guide in the same paragraph.
Thanks,
Rich
