W100 Wheel Covers
« on: October 20, 2024, 18:19:00 »
I watched the short video on the W100 on Dan Caron's  YouTube channel and was inspired to look at a few on BaT and elsewhere and noticed two variations in the wheel cover. I'm familiar with the upsized version of the cover one finds on later W113s and other cars (the 15" or so OA cover), but I saw what looked somewhat like an Adenauer cover on some cars, like here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=HE6I0G-bfi0

W100 "regular" cover https://www.ebay.com/itm/394955741759?

Quite an ambitious price for the dog dish-like cover. Seems like the Adenauer covers are more easily found and for cheaper. I'm wondering if it is two pieces, or if one has to solder them together? Could be an attractive alternative option to the standard W100 covers for those who want 15" wheels -- to me, the centers of the regular W100 covers appear too large for our cars.
