Front bumper parts
« on: November 29, 2024, 15:29:02 »
Just starting a resto mod on a 1969 W113 and gathering missing parts. Does the complete front bumper setup consist of 3 parts only? 1) the horizontal mild steel mounting bracket, 2) the 1-piece chrome bumper and 3) the vertical bumper guards? Thx

The front bumpers are separate, L and R.
The front bumper brackets are identical, but there are two of them used, one left and one right.
The front bumper joint is covered by a stainless steel trim piece.
The bumperettes or bumper overriders were only on USA cars or perhaps an option on Euro spec at the time. These are one piece chrome with a rubber insert in front, and two vinyl or plastic pieces that cover the edges to prevent metal to metal contact.

There's a wealth of information in our technical manual available to Full Members.
