Window Regulator Lifter Crank Rod
« on: December 12, 2024, 18:38:32 »
Hi all,

I recently got an OEM window regulator/lifter for my early 250SL. The new one has a crank rod with no screw hole. My old one has a screw hole to secure the crank. Are there two versions of this lifter? Since I've never own a 280SL, I am wondering could this be for later models?

Thanks.
Typpo

Hello Typpo,
yes, early = with screw hole, late= without screw hole.
Both need different handles.
The change was at 043 002963

If you want to change to the late version then please offer me your early ones, I would like to change back on my 230SL.

Best regards,
Thomas

Thank you Thomas for that clarification. Wish I had known. I don't want to switch to the later version because I like the early cranks for my early 250SL.
