Filters available for items for sale?
« on: December 20, 2024, 20:00:48 »
Greetings All,
New full member here from SF Bay Area.  Is there somewhere in specific to look just for W113 vehicles for sale?  Or filters available to use in the general for sale category, so I can only see vehicles for sale?
Also, any way to save my search and be notified whenever what I'm looking for is posted for sale?
On the hunt for a W113 automatic, ideally with AC.
Many thanks!
Chip

Not on here, unfortunately. It would be nice to have a board of just collected listings, without having to have a moderator move it to commercial advertising. On some other car forums, such threads can be very educational.

No AC but you should check out that white 250SL on BaT.

A couple of suggestions for you particularly as a new member.

First, come to the forums often. You’d be surprised how many full members come here maybe once every few months… and then get upset when they miss an opportunity. If you don’t come here often, you won’t see things that sometimes come and go quickly.

Second, ensure that the email address that you have provided in your membership is one you check frequently, not the one you never check, or one you use when you know you’re signing up for something that will result in spam. We don’t do that here. Again, you would be surprised how often we send things out and then people say they never received the email… mainly because it’s an email they never check. Like it or not email is how we communicate.

We have a forum board called wanted and you should put your car request in there and update it periodically. There may be members that have a car to sell that never put it in the for sale for them and will prefer to do it privately. You may also have people sending you information about one they have seen elsewhere… sometimes these will be replies to your post so again you need to check the forums regularly.

There is constant banter back-and-forth on the forums about listings in various locations, including bring a trailer, some of the major auctions, some of the major selling sites, such as Hemmings or eBay. People discuss these here on a regular basis so again a good idea to check things regularly.
