Mono speaker with + & - post wired to Becker Europa radio
« on: February 07, 2025, 19:47:13 »
I have a mono speaker with Pos & Neg post that I'm going to wire to Becker Europa radio. The Becker radio speaker wire color is black and green/black. My question is, since the speaker is a mono does it matter which speaker post I hook up to with those wires?

Hi,
connect your mono loudspeaker with the plus (thin round pin) of one stereo channel and the minus (flat thick pin) of the other stereo channel. On the loudspeaker side it dosn't matter how the cables are connected but you can test what's better.

This Becker Europa is a mono radio so I'm still thinking along the lines that even though the speaker being for a stereo it should work on a mono radio. Another thing I noticed is that there isn't a balance setting just has only bass and treble on the radio.

Hi,
If your radio is mono you can connect your speaker as usual.
