Several months ago 49er had the great idea of posting current and very early pictures of himself and his car in celebration of their birthdays. I hope you don’t mind if a copy your idea, John.
February 12th was the 56th anniversary of my factory delivery. Some weeks earlier I celebrated my 86th birthday. A couple of 1969 pictures are provided here. The picture of myself with the car was taken in West London. The slightly earlier picture of the car alone was taken in Arenzano, Italy. In both of these pictures the German customs plate can be seen on the rear of the car.
The weather in Alabama didn’t cooperate for picture taking on February 12th for an anniversary picture but I was able to get a current shot at a cruise-in last Saturday. In this picture the original front German customs plate can be seen on the car along with our sl113 badge and a silver star badge.
Weather is improving here and further celebrations will take place with some great drives anticipated over the next few months.
