Accelerator linkage bracket
« on: March 05, 2025, 15:30:10 »
Hi..I wonder if anyone can help..I’m looking for a stud for The A bracket that the carries the linkage bar..mine snapped in half..also wondering how I get the broken piece out? Or,is it easier to get a new bracket? I know they seem to be a lot of money looking at Authentic Classics web page…see picture…
Thank you

Stud: N 000835 006082, at Mercedes ca EUR 2. It is a generic part.
Bracket: A 127 070 20 24 at Mercedes, ca EUR 220 (consumer price), EUR 130 at SLS or Niemoeller.

Note: the nuts there are special, coned,  A 127 990 01 51, at Mercedes EUR 3, SLS EUR 3,6, Niemoeller EUR 5,37.

I am sure the SL Shop would have those parts as well.

I would try to drill the broken piece on the table drill to screw in extractor.

Might be able to turn the broken stud out with a vice grips if there's enough left to get a grip on it. You could probably replace with an M6 screw and cut the head off. Or buy the replacement stud Pawel referenced.

Thank you.. I think it has snapped of internally.. I’ve not removed the bracket yet but,it looks like I’ll have to drill it out.. any tips on removing the little pin to be able to disassemble the linkage?..

Just knock it out with a hammer. It is a generic spring pin. Again, part number is N 001481 004004, it is NLA, but you can get it in a hardware store, reading from the part number it is 4mm. You will find it in a good internet hardware store, together with the M6 stud.
