Should the owners manual have a green cover or blue cover?
I see some on Ebay and they have both colours, is this Europe version and US version or something like that?

Hi Rob,

It's the same basic blue cover you see on the owners manuals for most every Mercedes from the era. The paper is a coated stock and the plastic coating can yellow and peel off over time, so perhaps that explains the color differences you're seeing. (Also, remember that things like colors often get "lost in translation" over the Web.)

There was no difference on the cover between a US and Euro owners manual.

Perhaps different reprints over the years had different color covers?  Just a thought, no facts here!

An early observation from a 250SL purchased at auction. The owners manual appearantely orginal had the vin number on the front cover . I have only seen one such owners manual like this.
