Can any Long Islanders check out a car for me?
« on: November 12, 2005, 00:53:52 »
Hey Guys. I have the 113 bug pretty bad and it bit me pretty good when I saw the 280 below for sale on E-Bay, auctioned from Aventura Motor Group, Southhampton. I am not eager to consider a trip back east right now and this car offers a lot of what I have wanted...baby blue, manual trans.... I would accept the word of one or two of you 113 forum guys enough to likely buy the car if someone has the time or is near enough to go by and check her out.  If possible or interested please email me at innerplay@aol.com I have a list of questions about her. Thanks... Rob Weiss (Santa Monica)

An early 280 (less emmissions equipment) with a manual transmission.  That would be a very fun car.  It's also a nice looking car, except I don't know why they put the white steering wheel on it!  Did anyone look at it for you?  There were ZERO bids on the eBay auction.

Shouldn't that 280sl have side marker lights?

No undercarriage photos, the engine bay looks less clean than I would have expected. High "buy it now" price ($39K).
