A few Newbie questions ?
« on: November 28, 2005, 22:02:45 »
I'd like to know a source to determine the manufactured month/year for a 64 230SL.
VIN # = 11304210007324
And besides CD's is there an online source for MB exploded diagrams/part numbers similar to RealOEM online which excellent for BMW's.
Thanks

Carl, your 230SL was made between Oct. 23 1964 and Oct. 27 1964.  As per the Günther Engelen book.

A number of the parts suppliers for the 113 have the exploded parts diagrams, but they usually use their own part numbering set up, not the factory ones. SLS, Millers, K&K are several that are frequently mentioned. You can also check the forum listings. I would also be curious to know if their is an online source of the MB part numbers and diagrams.

No on-line source with MB part numbers that I know of.  That helps them sell their most excellent 230SL Spare Parts List.  Exploded views, part numbers, subsequent part numbers listed with chassis number of change, etc.
