New colour cobination
« on: December 18, 2005, 23:21:27 »
Just received my car back with a new soft top in green to match the leather seats.
I am really pleased with the effect of the green soft top with the papyrus white body and green leather and carpets.
Sorry the photograph is not very artistic, but it does show off the colour well.
I will post some more shots when the weather gets better.

Very nice, Rob. Very unusual and handsome color combo. It's fun to see something other than black!

Lovely car.  "F" reg makes it a 1968, doesn't it?  Is your hardtop green, too?  This green on white color combination is one of my favorites on a Pagoda!

Mike, yes she was registered in 1968 but built in 1967, making her one of the earliest 280s.
Came with high spec with alloy wheel, leather, green tinted windows, Blaupunkt radio/tape and electric ariel. Supplied in Germany but has spent most of her life in Southern Spain hence the lack of dreaded rust. She is having to spend time in the UK at present whilst I finish off in South Korea, then we both return to Spain.
The hard top is papyrus white but I dont think will ever go back on her.

Rob,
you also had an early 280SL.  I had one a few years back and it had the # 000618 and it was an early 1968 280SL.  Tunis beige metallic with black tex interior.

Pablo, did you retain the green interior colour, seems the original green carpet is no longer available?
I was not sure on the green interior at first but have grown to love it, particularly with the patinated leather.
