Chad: My car was owned by a contractor who had bought it as a present for his wife. She only drove it to the golf course on nice days. Problem was, the car leaked so much oil that the ground keeper asked her to clean up the parking spot or not to bring the car any more. The owner brought the car to a "qualified MB Mechanic" (Ha!) in Squim/WA. I have the invoice. The car still leaked. Then the owner brought it to the local MB shop here in town. After much work, it still leaked oil and the invoice was marked:"Oil leaks unrepairable" I also have that invoice. I bought the car and for a while I wasn't very happy: Many oil leaks, wrong parts installed, mis-wired, mis-adusted, locks not working, parts missing, tranny shifting rough. Took me two years. Runs pretty decent now. Leaks less than my Toyota which leaks very little. I still have a steel pan under the engine, but leakage is down to maybe two drops in two weeks. I drive it often now, when the weather is nice, and it runs fine and shifts smooth. Not a bad little car now.
