San Francisco May 7th
« on: May 07, 2006, 23:55:51 »
Here's some photos from the May 7th drive.  There were 30 to 40 cars, 6 pagodas, a gullwing, and a original owner '64 300 SE!  It was an outstanding drive through the hills and redwoods of the east bay (thanks Robert)  It was great to see James, Larry, Louis, Robert, and Roger.

The great thing about this site is being able to meet other people that share a passion for these cars and then being able to go out and  enjoy the cars on the road.  Thanks!

Well, here are a couple more. It was fun to see other MBs, but personally I think the Pagodas stole the show... (ok except for the GullWing!) At least I had the second oldest car there....

"I am DB 268 (dark green) with envy!" (Douglas)  Boy do I wish I was closer!  There appears to be a few extra lights on the back of the 300SL; Never hurts to be seen.

Thanks to all of you guys for coming out and making the day a success!  I'm eagerly awaiting the film footage of our caravan from the airplane and will be sure to let you know when and where you can see it.  For now, I would really appreciate it if you could upload the great photos you took to the First Sunday photo album.  Just visit the website at www.FirstSundayDrives.com and click on the "photo" link.  Once you get on the service providers site just follow the directions.
Hope you're all marking your calendars for the First Sunday in June - I have another great route in mind!
Robert
