A driving club I participate in recently held our annual Concours, luncheon and silent auction at Wolf Mountain Winery in North Georgia. Our lunch speaker was Hal Crocker, a well known and highly respected automobile (sports car) photographer. My wife Jeannie bid on (and successfully won) a 30-minute photo shoot with Hal immediately following the event and he agreed to shoot both of our cars (she drove the 280SL and I, the 911S).
He susequently mailed us a cd with 106 photos, 84 of the cars, the remainder of other scenes of the day. Thought I would share a few here in the Photo Gallery.

Oh yeah, once again Jeannie wins "Members Choice" with the Pagoda and I go home with the Porsche, empty handed. [:0]

Ed, nice long lens shots in the subdued light make your cars look like fashion models. Congrats, DZ

Ed....what driving club is in North GA?  I assume it's a private club membership....just curious....I can't seem to find the time to become active in MBCA or drive my SL's as much as I'd like to.

Ed,
Gorgeous photos. So did he shoot digital or film? (Also, I must add that the first photo is my personal favorite angle of any Pagoda. To my eye, the rear with the hardtop on is the car's most distinctive shape.)

He shot everything digital. Douglas, I agree; a rear shot with the hardtop on is probably the sexiest shot as it truly illustrates the aptly nicknamed Pagoda.
