Guys,
Help me...just bought a '71 calfornia 280 sl.
Buyer says ragtop and frame included, but not installed.
What do i need to do here...
I was not planng on driving with the hard top, just open or with the regtop up.
Did I buy the wrong car??($14,200)

When you say "California", do you mean the car has a rear bench seat and no well for a soft top to go down into? Just want to make sure we know your situation.

I'm assuming you have a California Coupe. $14.2K isn't necessarily a bad price if it's a nice example, but I think you'll find its uses limited. They tend to trade at a discount for this reason.
It is possible to convert a Coupe into a Coupe/Roadster, so it's good that you have some of the parts for the conversion. At the very least, you could include it with the sale of the car if you decide to move on.
There's been plenty of discussion in this forum on Coupes. It's an interesting, quirky beast.
