Hi Danny,
1) There are "2-Plate" states and "1-Plate" states. I don't know what Colorado is; if you are issued 2 plates most likely you need to have both Colorado plates on your car, front and rear. You need to check with your Registry/DMV/SOS or whatever they call that in Colorado.
Michigan is a "1-Plate" state, so I have my Michigan PAGODA plate on the rear, and my custom German plate on the front.
2) You can have a custom-made Euro-plate made at the following place:
http://www.euro-sign.com/european.shtmlI had one made, German, that says "1969 280SL" that answers the questions often asked, "What year is it?" and "What model is it?" There current price is about $36.00. It is completely, 100% authentic. So authentic, that if you really were in Germany (or any of the other countries whose plates they make) and you lost your plate, you could probably duplicate it here for less then the penalty they'd charge in Europe!!!
Hope this helps.
