Battery Removal

I want to put a new battery in my 280SL before selling it.  It looks as though the only way I'll get the old one out is to remove a coolant pipe from the top left of the radiator.  If I do so (and at this rate it is it might take some time, given how tight it is!) can I just re-attach it back afterwards or would the cooling system need bleeding, and if so how?

The line near the battery is an oil cooler line.  Simply unbolt the fitting and plug the hole with a rag.  No bleeding is needed after you re-connect.

Many thanks Jeff.  Tight fittings always seem to come loose a lot quicker when you know what's behind them and you're not afraid of them too.  Job all done and sorted now.
