Bicycle when possible (which it is not, now, as I have a few broken ribs from my recent enounter with a metal grate bridge here in FL)but on other days a 1998 mercedes wagon with 150k miles, put on 1 mile at a time by wife dring the kids to and fro, with an unbelievable repair history (I keep having to change the oil and replace the wiper blades, what a pain).

Best,

With shameless abandon, the other cars are good ol' SUVs. '01 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 and '03 Ford F-150 4x4. This here's the country, it snows, and 3 kids and their Mother gotta fit somewhere.

The old Ford Pick-up finally died last spring. Thinking of turning the wife's old Mercedes W123 station wagon into a pick-up truck!

My 1966 Mercedes 300SE (W108) was my everyday car this last summer. It is going to sleep for the winter and a 1982 Mercedes 300 turbodiesel will be my winter work horse!

I use a E280 W124 for daily drive - I do about
70 km each day on highway roads in Dubai.

My car is fitted with a 104 engine which
also came on the S320 W140 chassis a very
quite car and strong on the road.

The "Tank" - 1995 C280 (w202)
The "Pram" - 2004 Smart ForTwo
The "Bike" - 2006 Koga Miyata Traveller (with child seat)

The "scooter" - 2002 Vespa GT200

Most miles is the Tank as we use it weekends. Weekdays in London is the Pram or the bike for shorter trips with the bairn

Before I was a full time dad (or parent) the scooter was the main mode...

Besides the 280SL , last year my wife and I purchased a 1992 W124 sporline with just 32,000 miles and all of the previous owners history Black on Black. It is indeed a comfordable car to drive and very beautifull. Beside thoses two Benz,s I have a 1987 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 with under 7000 orginal miles all orginal paint and interior ,engine and transmission. this is what I call my 5.0 SLC. and the other car is a 1990 toyota corolla twin cam DX sedan 160,000 miles well maintained but begining to show its age.
I would like to fine my self a W110 sedan in nice condition or a fintail. some thing I can work on that I can rely on.Oh automatic transmission is a must my wife and trade off between the W124 and the toyota so some thing I can streath out in and cruise to the mountains in would be nice.

Hi Guys,

One of our daily drivers is a Jag XJS (12-cyl), a very comfortable ride with oodles of style.  Believe it or not, it´s also very reliable. We put a lot of miles on it driving between France and CH.

I drive different cars on different days.  My 2001 Boxster S is for rain, too hot or too cold; my MGB for running to the store, my 230SL for drives with a purpose and my 190SL mostly sits and is used for special occasions.  I also have a 2.3-16 with a supercharger and E420 brakes for track driving.  Too many cars, not enough time.

In good weather, a 1989 Merkur XR4Ti (U.S. market version of the European Ford Sierra XR4i with a 200 hp 2.3L turbo) or a 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas. In bad weather a 2002 Isuzu Trooper or a 1995 Isuzu 4x4 Pickup.

i try and to drive my sl as often as possible. it is safe to say its my daily driver but as the wheather has been cooling down i'm about to take her off the road for a couple of weeks. the puf of blue smoke when i start her is starting to get to me so the head is about to come off and be re-done. i thought i'd let you guys know of something i did recently that had great results.i had an extra intake manifold laying around so i gave it to a friend of mine that does porting and polishing work. he took the manifold and smoothed eeverything out on the inside. he opened up the long runners as best he could and gave it back to me. the results are amazing! he also will be porting and polishing the head for me and i can't wait! it's really cool to have the extra performance and be able to maintain a stock look under the hood! so in the mean time i will be driving my new (used) jeep grand cherokee limited, red 1999 truck. i also have a 1974 firebird (yellow) original mint condition and my old trusty 1984 300sd Black.
hope all is well with everybody!
