Today 8th + G street (courthouse) in Sacramento. Talking to the boss look out the window and see a bright red Pagoda cruising down the street. Heart starts palpatating then I realize that my bright red one does not have the roof on.

i know there are definitly a few here in atlanta, GA, but i've only seen two in my 8 years of living here. both driving with me on 85S

Hey Ya'll

Sunday afternoon I drove into Dunwoody to give a unicycling demonstration at the Markus Center Jewish Festival. After I dropped off my van load of equipment at the gate, I went to park at the nearby junior college parking lot. On the way to the shuttle bus I spotted this white 70 280sl. I didn't have time to look too close, but it had red Tex interior and a new top.

The afternoon events at the festival were rained out, but my friends and I got to put on a small show in the corner of the gym.

Al,

I live right across the river from where you were cycling. The car looks like mine but for the year. And no one in there right mind was driving in those thunderstorms yesterday! Ever cycle on Columns Drive?

I live about 15 miles south of Athens in Oconee county, so when I am in Atlanta I am either on the I-285 loop, or I'm lost.

Hi Guys,

He Who Must Be Obeyed spotted a red 280SL (black softtop, Bundt wheels) as he came off the motorway at Stans, Switzerland, this afternoon. On the shores of Lake Viervaldstaett on a lovely sunny day, this car was sporting a rally start circle on the door. Who could it be??

Yesterday (Sunday), a little after 3pm. my wife and I were traveling up to Warm Springs, VA from the Homestead in our 1954 M.G. TF. A dark brown SL was heading in the opposite direction, top down. I waved, he didn't - but then how would he know that a Pagoda owner was at the helm of that 50+ year old M.G.?

Last night I drove into Athens, saw a 70 or 71 grey white 280sl with red leather, top down, heading towards downtown on Prince Avenue.

I was going to honk and flash the lights, but I realized that I was driving my wifes 02 Beetle, My SL was hopelessly blocked in the garage when it was time for me to drive into town so I took Schatzi instead.

I was driving towards Cromwell Road, Kensington yesterday [ Sat 13 ] & saw a silver Pagoda parked up, with a similar number plate to mine FYY .... !

I would have stopped to put a card on the windscreen but unfortunately I was traveling down a one way road.

I saw several today, a gold one with black hard top with a lady driver and a personal plate, a navy one with the top down ( paulr I think I recognised the number plate ) and a silver one also with black hard top ( reg TH. 2..F )
There are loads around in London at the moment. There is the Frieze art fair on so all the trendies are out and the weather is nice too.

This summer I saw 6 Pagodas in a week In Forte dei Marmi (Tuscany, Italy): 2 from Germany on vacation and 4 used as daily car during the holidays.

I saw also these Mb during the arrive in Viareggio of the Nuvolari race:

Actually I was the one that was spotted yesterday.

As I was walking to my car after Sunday School, I was talking with a Marine and his wife, who are stationed at the Navy Supply Corps School here in Athens (GA). They asked about my car, what model it was? how long have I had it? how does it run?..... She told me that her father in California had a car just like mine but it was the 70 model.
They said that they would love to have one too, but the Marine Corps doesn't pay that kind of salary.

I saw a white LHD 280 SL with blue interior, just off the kings road in London this morning, the front number plate could do with some work !
I placed the Pagoda card to the windscreen, between the wiper blades . ('

I keep some in our cars. Incase I see a pagoda while riding my bike,I also keep a few in my wallet, as it came in handy this morning while riding my bike. ('

My 280SL might be one of those you are talking about. I'm not reluctant to take it out; it is reluctant to be taken out. It has been about a year and a half that I can't get the thing to run. Before that, it was my daily commuter. Whoops, I just realized that I replied to a 4 year old post. Oh well.

Did it have a for sale sign on it ?
I knew of one around that area that needed a lot of work doing to it, and it was up for sale a while ago ! [ Black body & red interior ]
