NDD 250F Spotted in my neck of the woods of east London at dusk this evening. Ivory/white body, black top. I assume a 250 as it was a bit gloomy

This morning in Athens, (Georgia) I was told by my doctor to look for "a little car just like yours", on Milledge road next to the bypass exit.

I found it, it had a For Sale sign in the window, It looked like a 68 euro model 280sl 050 white with a 903 light blue hard top, and blue tex interior with a kinderseat.

there is a 250sl, vanilla white with a light tan hardtop and bamboo interior, that's been at my mechanic for months. when i asked about it thinking it might be on the market since he's also a dealer, he said it was there for repairs that had been finished weeks ago! he just hasn't found time to deliver back to the owner...i get antsy when he has to keep mine overnight...

next day driving through town at an intersection fell in behind a navy 230Sl

Today I saw a topless white 113 in Athens GA. I tried to catch up with it but a red light intefered.

There is a Maroon 230SL and a White with Grey top 250 SL for sale in town

I saw four SL's (pagodas) all silver on Saturday in and around Chelsea and all with hardtops on.
Must put mine on soon. I think autumn is suddenly over.

I followed the driver in hot pursuit on handing him The Pagoda SL Group card !('

Late '64 230 sl, beige with brown softtop and hub caps, vertical spare and a flattop horn ring. It was parked in the Seaside Highlands, Seaside CA. I knocked on several doors and couldn't find the owner. It's only a block from my house so hopefully I'll find the owner someday and we can swap stories.

Not sure if this thread is the one I'm looking for but...

Last night I was watching the original (1971) Columbo movies. In "Lady in Waiting" at the beginning of the movie Leslie Neilson pulls up to a house (front gate acually) with a white 113 with hard top. Only time throughout the movie it shows up. Had to stay up 'til 12:30 am just to be sure.

Driving through Wimbledon [ London ] this morning, I saw a Cream Pagoda parked up by the green. I assume she belonged to a lady as I saw a pair of ladies gloves & a hair clip on the side.

On my lunch hour on Tuesday I drove from San Jose to Cupertino to pick up a BBB that I bought through Craig's List. On the way back (in the rain) I spotted a white pagoda with a blue hardtop. Got close enough to see that it wasn't James, but forgot to check which model it was. Lost him as he exited from Hwy 280 to Hwy 880/17. Is that anyone here?

I also saw a tan 280 with a brown hardtop parked outside our office in San Jose about a month ago.

Just spotted a Pagoda, looks like a 230 SL 040 white with natural or cognac interior, while sitting in my armchair. New York Times Magazine, Sunday, January 13, 2008, page 26-27.

Saw the NY Times photo yesterday. Klaus, You decribed the car but did't mention the pretty lady sitting on the trunk lid. Maybe you didn't notice her?

For the rest of us, the Times story is about a singer who has released several CD's but never quite made it to stardom. The hope is that her current CD will be the break through release.

I must admit, when I first turned the page, the first thing I noticed was the car...eventually my eyes did wander a bit to admire the lass atop the car. Then, as some of you might have done, I asked myself if I would lend my car for a shoot if they were going to perch someone on the trunk and throw musical instruments on the front seat...maybe not?

This morning at about 11:00am I was driving down near Lake Oconee on my way to a grandfather clock service call. As I was driving toward the Harbor Club guard shack, ahead of me was a grey-whith with a tan soft top 70ish 280sl. I was driving my HHR delivery van so there was no point in trying to flag him down.

I have been basing my model year estimates of these "spotted" sl's by having yellow turn signals that they are 70 or 71 models, but I hsve since learned that the all red lenses are out of production (execpt for repros) and that this is no longer a valid way to determine the model year.
