Actually there might have been some discreet owner input into where and how she was sitting. Notice that such weight as she might have is strategically concentrated on the steel body panel between the aluminum softtop lid and aluminum trunk lid. Have you ever seen the softtop compartment lid of a Pagoda pressed into service as a Parade vehicle? It often has a pair of dimples in it where some homecoming queen was allowed to sit!

Sorry Klaus,

Do not want to annoy you here... Perhaps you just accidently said it is 040 but 040 = black. This car is 050 white or perhaps 717 (quality of pic is not good enough to distinguish this clearly). Most likely 050 or a modern replacement thereof.

Going to lunch today in Downtown Athens GA, a white 113 with a Blue soft top passed me. I did not see the rear so no clue which model

Meant to post this earlier, but some weeks back I saw one at a body shop completely down to metal being prepped for paint. This shop is located at the corner of North Lamar and St. Johns Ave- very close to the MB dealership, which is why I was in the area. Are you here?

Need to remember to carry some of those 113 group cards with me...

Another in Dover St `W1, [ Silver,[ REG;YOT ] with a Classic Chrome sticker on the rear window! ] Parked up along the road, I stopped to put a Pagoda card on the windshield.

a white 250 with navy softtop and yellow rear number plate parked beside me yesterday in Putney Hill. It was interesting as it had no softtop box inside and a odd rear seating arrangement going on. I can't remember now if it was a LHD Euro car. Anyway, always nice to see another. It was a great top off weekend this weekend.

Just spent the long weekend in Santa Barbara (eyes naturally peeled for Pagodas...) The only two I saw were in a showroom. One, a dark grey 280SL that appeared to be almost concours (85K!), and the other a dark brown in very good but not A+ condition (no price listed). I hoped to spot Rod H. or Bo out and about but only saw a silver Gullwing -- and about 5 107s...

My wife saw a dark blue Pagoda driving through Burlington gdns in London W1, on wednesday 5th.

And then again she saw a cream 280SL pagoda parked outside the Olympic Studio's in Barnes SW13, today.

Both in very good condition!('

This morning I was chatting with a customer while we were waiting to hear the 1/4 hour chimes play on his Grandfather's clock. I mentioned that many years ago my father and I had a Mercedes garage, he replied "Oh realy, I have a 68 280SL" because that shop was in Missouri I said, "Show Me". Sure enough out in his garage he had a white Euro model 280SL with black soft top and blue Tex interior.

(For any one unfamiliar with the mid-western United States, Missouri is the "Show Me State")

last night, there were three of us in Clerkenwell road. A bus pulled in to reveal a silver with hardtop and personal plate in front of me then another silver one happened behind me. We were in convoy for about half a mile. How mad is that? These are not the other two that I know live in Clerkenwell nor were they the other very good silver one that often drives through, That is one of those pert ones that sits upright and looks very clean and delicate.

I bet I don't see any of them on drive it day 20th April.

I know they're not Tosh, or Nick or Kemal. Naj is one of them you?
Are any of you silver drivers here?

There's a silver one that I see pretty much whenever I am Harley St way... and another lives, on the street, in W8 (palace gdns terrace). Could have been one of them.

mmm, drive it day! Hadn't thought of that. Better get the car out!

Tonight on Main Street in my rural western Massachusetts town (pop 5,300) a green (I believe; it was almost dusk) pagoda with hard top attached. I honked and waved by reflex...then realized I was in my Chrysler 300.

Another TWO Pagoda day!! Last year we saw 2 in 10 minutes in Carmel, CA. Today two went over the bridge onto Lido Key, Sarasota, as we sat by the turquoise water in the sun. One was white, one was cream with black top. We couldn't see the model numbers--too far to spot.

Sunday, April 13, noonish on a crisp and cool Chicago midday: Ivory 250 SL w/hardtop, very nice condition, Illinois passenger plate 'FEL', pulled in front of me southbound on inner Lake Shore Drive near Superior Street alongside Lake Michigan, turned west up through the canyons of Ontario Street, next south on Columbus Drive over the beautiful Chicago River, and finally a right turn into the dim tunnel of westbound Lower Wacker Drive (lights turned on). Could well have been Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn.

Silver grey 280 with black hadtop. Personal plate.

I tried to hand a card over but the fella driving was none too keen on opening his window to a gesticulating Vespa rider.

Well during my short trip to Beirut over the weekend, I saw thre Pagodas: One was mine

One was on sale in a dealer location and the third was an immaculate red one owned by someone who owns two of those babies.... Well they are forty some years old babies, but still babies.

Oh I saw one in dubai... It's like seeing a ghost in the city that has the latest in car models everywhere... EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!
