I saw the first Pagoda this year, now this morning. The spring has arrived! The Pagoda was driving to the area called western harbor in Malmö. The car was white with black hardtop and looked really nice! Two minutes later I saw a black SLS roadster with top down, leaving the town. A nice car spotting morning!

This morning, as I was sitting in a meeting with about 40 other people, saw a white Pagoda being trailered, on the road by the airport here in Geneva. Hardtop on.

yesterday , May 4th, I saw a bordeaux pagode standing still near the parc of Brasschaat, Belgium. There was an oldtimer event. I was driving my silver 230 sl open. We horned to each other.
Anyone from this forum?

this is even more rare here in Poland, but I was very pleased to see yesterday about 11 Pagodas at the AutoNostalgia exhibition in Warsaw. Seven gathered as the Polish Chapter of the Pagoda Sl Group, but two more were parked outside the exhibition hall. Two additional ones were displayed inside.

then, the next day I saw two Pagodas going back home from the exhibition in normal traffic.

There are plenty of Pagodas in California. You need to be more specific as to location and I'm someone will speak up. I know of plenty; San Diego; LA; Bay Area.

I have owned a 1967 250SL in Portland, Oregon since 1975 and I rarely spot another 250SL. On a recent weekend on an outing to Home Depot I had to stop in my tracks. I spoted a 230SL that looked like the clone of my car! Creme colored, brown tex interior, automatic and in great shape! I waited for the owner to talk with him about our Pagodas....his response was "so you are the other guy that has a car like mine, I just bought this one and I keep hearing about another one that looks like mine". Fun experience.

You couldn't call this an "event" but not really "spotting" either. Six owners from western Massachusetts (also bordering Connecticut towns) got together for "Cars and Coffee" yesterday morning...

What did you calculate? We were 0.014% of all W113 imported to the US? Not bad, not bad. Let’s do it more often, I’m ready!
BTW this was the first time for me to meet other local Pagoda friends, and it was made possible by the W113 Pagoda Group forum!

Also last Friday I participated in a friend;s birthday party near Warsaw. And the car parked just right by the entrance was not nothing else but a Pagoda 280SL. Unfortunately it was to dark to take a photo with my phone, but a closer look revealed that it had important modifications: different upholstery (most likely taken from other MB), electric windows and a modern radio. Despite being far from original, it was a very pleasant surprise.

I have a 1966 230SL. Red with black hard top and soft top.I live in Vancouver BC and a member of the local MBCA.We have four members who own Pagodas. On our annual german sports car festival we usually see about 8 Pagodas. There are probably five others that I see on a regular basis in the summer.Most are in very good condition.
