This weekend we escaped the searing heat by driving up the Silbertal to Bieler Höhe...and this is what we saw. It looked like Carling, except it had Dornbirn plates, light interior, and the doors had lots of dings.

Oh yes, there are plenty of 113's here in San Diego (I am in San Marcos). Keep your eyes peeled, preliminary planning for an August event at Green Flash. ctm14 is doing the deal on this one. Will also have a Dutch member in attendance.

Yes I saw a nice cream white one in Del mar yesterday on my way home from work. Green Flash sounds great, I have been hoping to meet up with some other 280s in SD so I can start educating myself and picking your brains

Chicago, Tuesday morning, August 20, medium blue Pagoda, top down, gentleman in white shirt, SE bound on Milwaukee Ave, crossing Chicago Ave about 7:50 a.m. Wasn't close enough to distinguish the model, license plate or condition. Pleasant morning drive to work.

Yesterday afternoon saw a green? pagoda with the top down on county road in Tenafly, NJ .
Female driver and passenger. I was going in the opposite direction in my regular car, and the only thing I was able to do is honk...

I was told "it's the nicest car on Maui." I saw a green Pagoda, a newer red with chrome fenders, and an older white Pagoda. Mine is a '65 black Pagoda with parchment interior, black rag top. It was fun to drive over there as there's basically only one road and you get to see everybody!

Pleasant surprise, it's my 280SL

These young guys are always hanging around Knightsbridge when the super cars are flown in from the Gulf States and they risk life and limb to get the picture they went.

Last Saturday at dusk at Urban Janssen's house. He replaced the wheel bearing on the red car and brake pads and hoses on the ivory one (he's the only one of us with a lift in his garage!). We wouldn't have known we were less than 60 minutes from each other save for the 113 forum!

Kevin, goes to show you how important this (our) forum is and the fee for membership is nothing at all compared to friendships to be made and tips we get from one another that saves us a bundle of change.

I spotted another Pagoda in my driveway today Peter (member pj) and his wife dropped by for coffee/tea and a nice chat after they took a nice Thanksgiving drive. Yes indeed new friendships to be made.

Well said. Also, too... what also comes in to play is that some have more expertise, knowledge in some areas than others. I am sorry to say that I am personally not at all mechanically inclined and often have to rely on mechanical shops to perform services for me. In this case, I traded Urban a set of used dash wood trim for his changing of my rear wheel bearing.

Both came away VERY happy (and full...Urban cooked, too!)

Silver 280SL Automatic spotted on Great Guildford Street, Southwark (London) at a workshop. This garage is down the road from my flat, is this car anyone's here?

Interestingly, this car's registration number indicates that it is an August 1970 to July 1971, and should have silver on black (historic) plates but is fitted with modern black on yellow (rear)/white (front) plates.

Going the other way 30 miles east of Basel, an ivory car with black soft top...didn't get a chance to see what it was; older man driving. We are having the last of the Golden October days, so a little drive was in order!
