Terry, it looks like he changed some of the pictures.  Do they still include views of your car?

EVERY PICTURE OF THE INTERIOR IS OF MY CAR.  ALL ENGINE COMPARTMENT PICTURES ARE OF MY CAR.  THE HUBCAP PICTURE IS MINE ALONG WITH THE UNDERCARRIAGE PICTURE.  PICTURES OF THE OUTSIDE ARE HIS!! He had sent me a picture of his speedo.  I could see some of the dash,  His dash is thrashed, doesn't even have heater levers!!  NO WONDER HE DOESN'T WANT ANYONE TO SEE THE INTERIOR!!  I SET UP AN EBAY ACCOUNT THAT I DON'T CARE IF I LOSE.  I WILL FIX HIM.  30 SECONDS BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS, I WILL MAKE A HIGH BID AND WIN THE ITEM.  OOOOPS, FORGOT TO TELL HIM THAT I WAS JUST KIDDING!!! Then I will leave feedback telling what a scammer he is.  He will be unable to eliminate the bad feedback!! Anyway, that is my plan!!

I'm thinking of sending him an email asking if he will accept my Nigerian bank check in an amount over the asking price.  He can simply refund me the difference immediately by western union then ship the car, hopefully before he deposits the check.

This item has now been removed from Ebay. Either he got scared or Ebay finally got smart. Since Ebay is not smart I vote for the first option.

I wondered about this too, but further investigation reveals this is one of the few legit elements in the auction. Apparently, bidder anonymity is one of ebay's newer features:

"As the internet evolves, eBay continues to strike a balance between preserving transparency and protecting our Community of members. eBay has decided to change how bid history information is displayed so bad guys cannot target bidders with fake offers using this information. In certain cases, some bidders will no longer be able to view Bidder User IDs on the Bid History page. Your User ID will be shown only to you and the seller of the item you're bidding on. Other members will see an anonymous name, such as Bidder 1, applied consistently to the Bid History page."

Sort of ironic considering they're protecting one of the "bad guys" in this case.

Terry,

I see he's left you negative feedback - you've achieved the nirvana of having a 'minus one' rating. Congratulations, I didn't know one could attain such an accolade. However, given that the listing will no doubt bounce back, potential buyers may check you out - you could leave a response to inform them of the reality of the situation.

Finally, and just for a laugh, you could report him to ebay for failing to deliver the car as advertised (presumably because parts thereof are sitting in your garage attached to your own vehicle).

This is great sport.

Kind of funny! He said that I was fake.  Actually, it was the car he was selling (if there was one) that was fake.  I AM ACTUALLY REAL, JUST ASK ME!!!

HE CALLED ME LAST NIGHT AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH ME!! SAID I COST HIM MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!  I TOLD HIM THAT WHEN I TALKED TO HIM OVER A WEEK AGO, I HAD TOLD HIM THAT I WASN'T GOING TO ALLOW HIM TO SELL A CAR USING PICTURES THAT WEREN'T OF HIS CAR THAT HE WAS SELLING.  HE SAID THAT HE HAD CHANGED THE PICTURES!!  HE HAD NOT CHANGED THE PICTURES, 3/4 OF THEM WERE STILL MY PICTURES.  HE IS EITHER REALLY STUPID OR A REALLY LOUSY FRAUDSTER!! OR QUITE POSSIBLY REALITY HAS ESCAPED HIM!!

Terry,

Thanks for dealing with this guy.  You know you can leave a response to his response.  How about something like James' observation about jail time being a good time to learn spelling...and consequences.

_________________________________________________________________
cut and paste!

Q: Why has this car been sold in a no reserve auction and within 48hrs its re listed? Is this the same car Cooper classics sold a few months ago? Carl
 Dec-29-06
A: So its cooper clasics ok thanks for the information. Well the truth is that the hight bidder came last minet and out bide everyone else and only 2 mints after they won the auction they posted a negative feedback to me. Stateing that this is his car from the pictures and i guess who ever he sold the car to still owes the guy money and cooper classic thinks i both his car or am trying to sell it for the person that both it from him. Any how he has anothe re-bay account with the name of andersonbeacky with -1 feedback and I tryed to contact them only to get some guy name terry saying to me i should have took the hundered dollers from him and not listed the car. Personely i think they are crayz and to effect my auction like the past listing when i never have done anything to them. NOw i can put it together thanks to your help and stop these guys effecting my auction so i can sell my car befor new year. I am getting married for the first ever time and the wedding is outing me in depth this is why I am glad i can depend on the sell of this car hopefully and unfortunetly if must will take a lose to some degery to help process the sell of this car. Thanks

How is it that this is being allowed to continue by ebay? Multiple people have reported this, including myself, and it's still continuing.

It's auctions like this that completely undermine ebay's credibility.

I think this ad needs to be pulled!

Maybe we can all flood this guy with specific questions and more detailed pics of his car (if he has one?).  As we ask questions and they are posted with the ebay ad, maybe potential bidders will get the message that this ad is not accurate.

I was thinking that if the pic of the engine bay is from Terry's car, I can ask this goober to email me a close-up of the overflow tank, with sticker on it.  I bet his doesnt look like Terry's?

What do you all think?
