Colour ID.

Can some kind soul help me out with a colour identification.

I'm assuming that the body coloured plate on the left inner wing is the plate I need? Codes read as follows.

571 H   571 H 6
113044  22  5
60365   90256

I would be grateful for a decode and anything else that this plate tells us.

The car is a 69 280SL.......Lets hope it doesn't come back as a 65 230SL in yellow.[:0]

looks to me that my car is very original but I'm contemplating a colour change. Does anyone know whether this colour is either rare or sought after or both (I doubt it)But just before I set the guys on it.

It's a very subjective question, but I believe that to be a fairly rare color. I've only seen 2 or 3 SLs in that color.

As to whether it's sought after, I couldn't say. To my eye though, it's one of those colors that really comes to life when it's fresh and new.

That looks like the colour although I've not seen mine in the sun as I live in the UK.....Certainly looks good in the pictures although my car seems to be a bit more pinkish but though it may have been painted the wrong shade.
