Seats out, steering wheel off, dash apart.
She received new gaskets for instrument gauges, new flooring
insulation, soldered 3 wires together to bypass a funky rheostat
for the dash lights, 4 watt bubs for the dash, a thorough detailing
and on with the hardtop for some winter driving.

I got a backache! But its worth it for a beautiful mistress.

A  new garage to sleep with a back yard buddy four post lift so I can service her. A car cover and a CTEK battery trickle charger to keep her ready to drive. Some new trim parts and light bulbs for the side marker lights.

Gorgeous black floormats with red diamond dots from cocomats.com

We haven't yet gotten them, so belated Christmas present. With this car Christmas lasts all year, right?

And if I was a good Pagoda owner I probably *should have* gotten a new windshield, the heater fixed, door panels, window cranks. The proverbial work in progress.

But whatever- she looks *amazing* just the way she is....

2007 brought a new paint job (down to metal) and Black loop carpeting. Also the wood pieces (including the strip inside the hardtop) done in a gorgeous burlwood. Not installed yet- but I take them down from their storage place - just to drool at the gorgeous finish.

I spoke with a Pagoda owner at an informal car show- admiring his  wood pieces which were freshly refinished. He said it cost less to refinish his piano <G>. I said "But you can't *drive* your piano!"

Oh Yea! Mine have a black plastic mat under the foot pedal area, tho.
I got them today and they are beautiful.
As a treat I went for a long ride into town and got her (hand) washed & fueled.
Also ordered mats for the BMW Z4 in blue with tan dots. That car is Montego Blue with tan interior. I never liked the tan carpet ones that came with the Z4 as they slid around and got dingy pretty quickly. Ugh. It was a constant fight to keep them in place (me against all that velcro...ick). It's the only thing I hated about that car <G>. Such a great car, such BAD mats.

Apart from their beauty the other best thing about the coco mats is they are custom cut to your car's floor measurement. No slippy sliding. And they are quite heavy. I got the mat for the "deck" area behind the seats, and it fits like a glove. I had never noticed how angled that area was (slightly A-framed) until I installed the deck mat. It only fits one way <G>.

It's amazing how one little thing can make such a HUGE difference!

I purposely omitted the heel pad for the look.  Jeff, at www.cocomats.com said if I wear through, I can send the mat back and he'll sew a pad in.  Great mats and great people.

While on subject of cocomats, how about some opinions: do you think this blue and white pattern would go with my interior? or is it too busy? (the trunk mat pic is from their website)

I assume your car is white.  It would look great.

While on the subject of cocomats...

Anyone know if the RHD is the "back" of the LHD pattern - ie a straight reversal? Or how I take a trace of the floor to make an RHD pattern...

Thanks

I have asked Cocomats to make some but they dont have a RHD pattern so they are going to send a pattern making kit over and if I get the chance I will make a pattern. Exciting eh?

Paul,

Thank you for your message. Good to hear about  www.sl113.org  It is
tough as a small business to get the word out, but the best is happy
customers. Thanks for heads up.

We ship to UK quite a bit. Unfortunately we do not have rhd pattern for
113. We have done 100's of lhd but not one rhd. So if your 113 is rhd,
we would need your help making pattern. I would be happy to send a copy
of our lhd pattern for your review along with tan swatches. Just let me
know. We can send swatches out today.

Sincerely,

Jeff / Cocomats.com

Maybe he will discount, but at $129 for a front pair, knowing the quality, I think it's a great value already.  Which is why I have three sets.
