Mike,
are you referring to the front hood or rear trunk?

if you are referring to the front hood, do a search and you will find an in depth thread on the removal. It is really easy I you have a friend help you.

Whatever you do, make SURE that the secured spring arm won't come loose when you are moving the bonnet around, it's location relative to human anatomy while carrying the hood is intimidating....
