For the front, I have used a hydraulic jack under the cross piece in the center of the engine, just behind the oil pan. I do not have a picture, but I am sure someone will post. I also use a piece of wood or some such to minimize the scratches from the hydraulic jack. Then I put the jack stands under the a-arm where the shocks are located. For the rear, I have used the differential as the jack point. I am traveling today, and can't look at exactly where the jack stands rest, I am sure others will chime in on this

Corraboration out there for the front?

It depends on what project you need to accomplish.  If you put the stands under the control arms and want to remove them????

Most of the time I support the car at the "frame" rails.  In the front I place the stands where the rails blend into the floor pan, alongside the transmission.  At the rear I place them under the rocker panel below the jack tube.

I only use the supension for supporting the car if there is a specific reason to.  One thing to keep in mind when using the frrame for support for an extended period - support the front crossmember to take the tension load off the front subframe mounts (they designed to be in compression).

The location of the rear stands shown in the photo is another option.  I prefer the wider, more stable stance by going outboard from that location to the frame below the jack points.  Also, if you need to drop the front mount for the trailing arm, the location in the photo does not work.

Thanks for the suggestions Guys.  I could not find that picture several of you spoke about.  Anyone got a picture they can post?  I am looking at putting the car up on 4 jack stands for a good "Spring Maintance"

Thanks again, rb6667
